How to provide a TRACE to support.

Traceroute is run from a command prompt or terminal window.To run a traceroute, run the tracert command followed by the address of a website. For example,if you wanted to run a traceroute to 8.8.8.8, you’d run the command:

tracert 8.8.8.8

(On Mac or Linux, run traceroute 8.8.8.8 instead.)

How to Use Trace on Windows

1. Open the Start Menu, search for the Command Prompt, and select it.
2. Type tracert and then enter either the IP address of the device or the URL of a site you’d like to trace to. (i.e tracert 8.8.8.8)
