Understanding Outgoing/SMTP settings and ports for Plesk mail

If you are using an iONLINE POP Plesk mailbox's you are required to enter in an incoming and outgoing mail server or SMTP server when setting up your mailbox on devices. 

Incoming/outgoing Mail Server Settings

iONLINE uses the same server address for both incoming and outgoing mail.
Incoming Mail server: hosting-01.ionline.co.za
Outgoing Mail server: hosting-01.ionline.co.za

Note: This means your server must be set to  hosting-01.ionline.co.za for both incoming and outgoing mail server settings.

Outgoing mail settings

SMTP (Simple Mail Transfer Protocol) is used for sending emails.

The default non-secure ports are Port 25 and Port 587, while Port 465 is used for secure SMTP.

We recommend using the secure port either with the certificate provided by Plesk or your custom SSL certificate which is added on plesk vie your portal.
